High Bridge Trail State Park, Farmville, VA

Picture of the new High Bridge Trail in Farmville, VA - High Bridge Trail in Farmville Virginia was updated and dedicated on June 6th. The 10 mile segment of converted Norfolk Southern rail line, west of Farmville was converted to a bicycle trail open to the public. Apache Forest Products provided over 1800 pieces of creosote treated 10 x 10’s structural #1 White Oak dapped wood timbers for the main sub-structure underneath the wood decking. NCDOT Timber Bridge

All lumber and timbers were #1 structural grade yellow pine. This was an emergency NCDOT timber bridge that had to be built & completed in a 2 week span. We supplied the timbers and shipped right on time for vehicle use.
